GuardRound's answer is not a better form. It is an order of operations: the record lands on the phone first, the photo is written under its digest, and the send is a separate step that can be retried all night. A record the server will not take is still a record — it stays on the phone with the server's reason attached, and the desk sees it in the queue.
What the desk gets
Tour rounds
Posts per site, clocked in by scanned tag or by hand with a written reason, timestamped. A post that misses its window is flagged the moment the window closes — not in next week's report.
Incident log
Category, description, photos. Written to the phone first; the photo is content-addressed and committed whole, so half a photo is not a photo.
Sync queue
Every record carries its state, its retry count and the server's answer in the server's own words. The desk sees what is still on a handset, and why.
DARs
A daily activity report per guard, per site, assembled from that day's checks and incidents and frozen with a digest. Nobody retypes it.
Client link
One read-only link per site: coverage, missed posts, incidents, reports. The client needs no login and no app.

Why not per guard?
A 10-guard firm pays about $80/month for the published per-guard products in this category, and the category leader will not even publish a number until you sit through a demo. $99 flat for up to 10 guards is a number a small firm can say out loud — and it buys the one thing the incumbents' reviewers keep saying they lost: the record.
Built for the shift with no signal
Basement car parks, loading docks, rural yards. The guard screen works with the radio off; the queue posts itself the moment signal returns, and the desk can see exactly what has not arrived yet.
Questions the desk asks
- Does each guard install an app?
- No. It is a web page that keeps working offline once it has been opened — no app-store review, no MDM, no per-device install.
- What happens when a guard's phone dies mid-shift?
- Anything already captured is in the phone's own store. On the next open the queue posts and reconciles by record id, so nothing is filed twice.
- How does a missed post get noticed?
- Each post has a due window measured from shift start. When the window passes with no clock-in, the post is flagged missed on the desk, in the DAR and on the client's link.
- Where does the data live?
- In the firm's own database on our server, with each client link scoped to one site. Export is available from day one.
